Echocardiography
Echo is an ultrasound of the heart which can give detailed information on the size of the heart and how well it is pumping. It takes detailed images of structures in the heart such as heart valves.
ECG
ECG is a short painless test which involves putting lots of stickers over the chest, attaching them to wires connected to our machine and taking a reading which can provide us extensive information about the rhythm and health of the heart.
Ambulatory ECG
An ambulatory monitor, attached to stickers on the chest, monitors your heart rhythm over a longer period of time while you go about your normal daily activities. This enables us to identify intermittent disturbances in the heart rhythm.

After facing a long wait for a NHS test we booked SCD for a home visit. The whole process was so easy and the convenience of being tested in the comfort of my own home was so reassuring.
